VALUING
MEMORIES AND LIFE STORY WORK
Course Aim: To provide an introduction to reminiscence
and life story of older people (including people with dementia)
and explore ideas for helping individuals to share their memories
and different ways of recording these, such as memory boxes
and life history books. Involving family carers and consent
issues will also be considered.

ACTIVITY GROUPS WITH PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA
Course Aim: To provide staff with
an understanding of the principles and best practice in activity
work with people with dementia. The course will introduce
the PAL instrument and how it can be used to review care planning.
