Dementia
Education and Training Network
The
Dementia Education and Training Network (DETN) was established
in 1996 and acts as a focus for the development of education
and training in dementia care across London. The network keeps
participants informed about training initiatives, helps develop
fresh ideas about how best to deliver training and enables
providers of training and those wishing to commission training
to link up. The overall aim is to influence change and improve
standards in dementia care through promoting good quality
training for all levels of staff.
The Network is co-coordinated by the London Centre for Dementia
Care in partnership with for dementia and there are four meetings
per year, held at the for dementia offices in London. If you
are a dementia specialist trainer, or interested in commissioning,
providing or delivering dementia training, you are welcome
to attend the DETN.
