Uniting
Carers for dementia Event
15th
August 2007
We held our bi - annual event for family carers on Wednesday
15th August at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. Over 140 people
came from all over the country to have a great day out and
to learn more about Uniting Carers.

In the morning there were presentations and a video reflecting
the types of initiatives that members of Uniting Carers have
been involved in.There were also information stalls, giving
people the chance to find out more about the charity and how
to get involved with Uniting Carers. This was followed by
a delicious lunch in the Tudor Old Palace.

Hatfield is a beautiful Jacobean House, the former home of
Queen Elizabeth 1.

After lunch people took the opportunity to take a tour of
the house or walk around the formal Jacobean Gardens. The group
of carers below found a delicious mullberry tree......and
experienced Elizabethan cuisine.
